There is always an ombudsperson who can help you!
Based on the slogan 'There is always an ombudsperson who can help you', information events will be organized by the Belgian network of ombudspersons (ombudsman.be) in 11 cities from 9 to 20 October 2023.
This network includes ombudspersons from public institutions (federal government, regions, municipalities...) as well as from the private sector (insurance companies, banks, post office, energy suppliers...)
'An ombudsperson is a mediator. He or she intervenes when a person has difficulties with a public or private service and cannot resolve the situation with the service in question. They find a solution, provide answers and, if necessary, make recommendations to improve the service', explains Marc Bertrand, chairman of ombudsman.be.
If you encounter a problem, you can immediately find the contact details of the ombudsman who can help you on the website www.ombudsman.be. All ombudspersons meet the criteria of impartiality and independence and their service is free of charge.
